Opening hours
Tuesday to Saturday from 10h a 15h. It will remain closed on Mondays, Sundays and bank holidays.
- The access is not allowed groups of more than 15 persons without previous appointment.
- In order to control the seating of visitors, if it is necessary, the access will be able to be limited to the estate.
The house
Raixa Estate is a gorgeous country manor house (possessió) located in the municipality of Bunyola.
The surrounding gardens, the monumental staircase, the Big Pond and the panoramic views offered to the visitor, make Raixa well worth a visit.
The gardens
Raixa is specially well-known because of the gardens that surround the house and reach over the southern slopes of sa Muntanyeta. At the bottom there are the orchards, “dels Tarongers” garden, “de la Galería” garden, with a fountain in the middle, and “d´Entrada” garden with a small pond.
An interesting part of the whole is the entrance gate, built in 1898, which bears the coat of arms of count Ramon Despuig i Fortuny, who sold Raixa to the entrepeneur Antoni Jaume in 1910.

Presents the Serra de Tramuntana Natural Site and the Raixa Estate as key centres to understand Majorca, and specially, to understand the value and the potential of one of its most unique cultural landscapes as well as its recent history, listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site.

Curs d'iniciació a la construcció de marges
L'objectiu del curs d'iniciació a la construcció de marges és donar als participants formació teòrica i pràctica bàsica que els apropi a la tècnica de pedra en sec, duent a terme la restauració d’un marge. D'aquesta manera es pretén divulgar i apropar a la població una tècnica que ha evolucionat durant segles i que ha permès bastir marjades, parets i altres estructures lligades a les activitats del mon rural de l’illa.
Lloc: Finca Pública de Raixa, Bunyola
Durada del curs: 22 hores
Destinat a: persones majors de 16 anys, no professionals.
Nombre de places: 15, que es cobreixen per ordre d’inscripció. Queden exclosos aquelles persones que hagin realitzat un curs d’iniciació a la construcció de marges del Consell de Mallorca.
Inscripció: gratuïta.
Horari del curs:
- 1 sessió teòrica de 2 hores: divendres 21 de març, de 18.00 a 20.00 h
- 4 sessions pràctiques de 5 hores: dissabtes 22 i 29 de març, 5 i 14 d'abril, de 9.00 a 14.00 h
