The Raixa House and Gardens are closed on Friday, September 12th.
The Raixa estate will open on Sunday, September 14th, from 10 am to 3 pm.
Opening hours
Tuesday to Saturday from 10h a 15h. It will remain closed on Mondays, Sundays and bank holidays.
- The access is not allowed groups of more than 15 persons without previous appointment.
- In order to control the seating of visitors, if it is necessary, the access will be able to be limited to the estate.
The house
Raixa Estate is a gorgeous country manor house (possessió) located in the municipality of Bunyola.
The surrounding gardens, the monumental staircase, the Big Pond and the panoramic views offered to the visitor, make Raixa well worth a visit.
The gardens
Raixa is specially well-known because of the gardens that surround the house and reach over the southern slopes of sa Muntanyeta. At the bottom there are the orchards, “dels Tarongers” garden, “de la Galería” garden, with a fountain in the middle, and “d´Entrada” garden with a small pond.
An interesting part of the whole is the entrance gate, built in 1898, which bears the coat of arms of count Ramon Despuig i Fortuny, who sold Raixa to the entrepeneur Antoni Jaume in 1910.
Serra Tramuntana Centre
Presents the Serra de Tramuntana Natural Site and the Raixa Estate as key centres to understand Majorca, and specially, to understand the value and the potential of one of its most unique cultural landscapes as well as its recent history, listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
In the Center you will also find the Espai Collidores, a tribute to all the women who, with their tireless work during the coldest months of the year, contributed to preserving this cultural landscape.

Jornada de voluntariat a la Ruta de Pedra en Sec
El Consell de Mallorca i l'associació internacional REPS organitzen una Jornada de voluntariat a la Ruta de Pedra en Sec el dissabte 27 de setembre de 2025.
Aquesta activitat proposa una experiència d'aprenentatge, lúdica i vivencial, de conservació del patrimoni. Els participants contribuiran al manteniment del camí de Raixa (terme de Bunyola), que forma part de la Variant 5 de la Ruta de Pedra en Sec, participant en la reconstrucció de les parets de pedra en sec d'un tram de camí, de la mà de l'associació Més que Pedra.
La jornada constitueix una oportunitat per experimentar els secrets de la tècnica de pedra en sec, inclosa a la llista del Patrimoni Cultural Immaterial de la UNESCO des del 2018. A l'illa de Mallorca ha permès construir bancals, parets, camins i multitud d'estructures lligades a activitats agrícoles, ramaderes i forestals de l'illa. S'estima que només a la Serra de Tramuntana hi ha més de 19.000 km lineals de marges.

La Setmana Europea del Patrimoni de Pedra en Sec és un esdeveniment de l'associació internacional Xarxa Europea de la Pedra en Sec durant el qual els seus membres celebren diferents activitats a les respectives regions amb l'objectiu de sensibilitzar sobre la importància del patrimoni de pedra en sec i difondre el projecte de creació d'un itinerari cultural europeu centrat en aquest patrimoni.
El Consell de Mallorca, que actualment ostenta la presidència de l'associació, organitza una sèrie d'activitats a l'illa de Mallorca (Espanya) en el marc d'aquesta setmana.
Aquesta activitat forma part també dels European Heritage Days (EHD) / Journées européennes du patrimoine (JEP) del Consell d'Europa.
